Camera Engineering Program Management:
- Specification of camera imaging system to meet your product requirements.
- Selection of camera module integrator to design/build to your specification while meeting your cost targets.
- Able to actively manage external suppliers (module integrator, lens and sensor makers) across multiple timezones to meet tight schedules in fast paced environments.
- Take overall responsibility for driving design, development, and integration of camera imaging/flash system into your product.
- Manage all aspects of scheduling related to camera imaging system and product design.
- Domestic and international travel to support production builds and supplier interface meetings.
Camera Module Design & Systems Engineering:
- Specification of camera imaging system to meet your product requirements.
- Selection of camera module integrator to design/build to your specification while meeting your cost targets.
- Image quality tuning and verification of electrical and optical parameters to ensure optimal image quality and system performance.
- Able to work cross functionally between internal engineering teams (mechanical, electrical hardware, software) and sourcing teams to coordinate all design aspects of integration of camera module design and production.
- Experience designing/integrating CMOS digital camera modules ranging from VGA to high resolution, with fixed and Auto Focus mechanisms.
- Strong technical background in hardware design, camera module design, image quality measurement techniques, and high volume manufacturing and quality control processes.
- Direct experience with implementation of camera manufacturing tests at supplier and product side to ensure optimal efficiency in test/measurement methods resulting in correlation of data.
- Domestic and international travel to support production builds and supplier interface meetings.
Camera Module Hardware Design & System Integration:
- Design and build custom camera modules and provide full-scale integration into various platforms.
- Experience with Linux camera device drivers
- Provide tuning metrics and software to produce tuning parameter sets for digital camera systems.
- Provide characterization services for sensors and image signal processors (ISPs) and has characterized and benchmarked the major sensors and ISPs available on the open market.
- Provide system architecture to develop complete camera systems and subsystems with in depth knowledge of sensor and image signal processor ISP benchmarking and performance.
- Provide camera board level architecture and design services.
Embedded Linux/Android System Design and Configuration:
- Specialized in Linux/Android system bring-up, including:
- chip selection
- device driver development (camera(sensor), ISP, display, etc.)
- user space system programming
- web server
- hardware/software integration & debugging
- architecture level performance tuning(Arm)
- Omnivision OV5640 camera image quality tuning/optimization
- system profiling & memory management
- Extended experience in small micro-controller development with or without RTOS
